The all-new 2018 Kia Stinger was revealed last month at the North American International Auto Show. It’s now on display at the Chicago Auto Show for everyone to get a closer look, and our team here at Kia of Irvine is doing exactly that. We’re going to share exclusive images from the auto show as well as provide details on the performance capabilities and available features.
This entry-level luxury sports sedan is the first from Kia, but it gets some of its inspiration from the K900 flagship sedan. The Stinger offers seating for five, and it has a sleek and stylish design that’s guaranteed to turn heads. Some of the major competitors for this model will be the Audi A4, BMW 3-Series and the Lexus IS. Drivers can expect the Stinger to be available in late 2017.
When it comes to performance, drivers sure do have a lot of excitement in store for the 2018 Kia Stinger. There will be two engine options depending on the specific model and personal preference. Drivers will have the option between a standard 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder Theta II engine or an available 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 Lambda II engine.
The smaller, more efficient engine will get 255 horsepower, and the larger, more powerful engine will pump out an impressive 365 horsepower. It’s expected to go from 0 to 62 mph in 5.1 seconds with a top speed of 167 mph. An eight-speed automatic transmission is standard, and it will be available as either rear- or all-wheel drive.
We’re going to highlight some key features for the 2018 Stinger below:
Safety features included with the 2018 Kia Stinger are forward-collision assistance with autonomous emergency braking, lane-keep assist and rear cross-traffic assist as well as a standard suite of airbags throughout the cabin.
