The new Kia Sportage comes with your choice of two engines. This first, a 2.4 liter DOHC with Dual Continuously Variable Valve Timing, has a horsepower rating of 181 and can get up to 30 miles per gallon of gas on the highway when outfitted with the front-wheel drive system. The seond engine, a Turbocharged 2.0 liter DOHC with Dual Continuously Variable Valve Timing, has a horsepower rating of 240 and can gets up to 26 miles per gallon of gas on the highway. Both engines have a towing capacity of 2,000 pounds when properly equipped.
