2017 Kia Rio Release Date
The fourth generation Kia Rio will go into production toward the end of this year for Europe, with other regions to follow after. Our best guess for a U.S. release date is sometime in the first or second quarter of 2017.
New Appearance on the 2017 Kia Rio
One of the biggest changes coming on the new Kia Rio compared to the previous 2016 Rio model is the refined appearance and enhanced dimensions. Dreamed up by design centers in Germany and California along with the central Kia offices in Korea, the new appearance of the Rio emphasizes the sleek elegance of this small car. It has gained 15 millimeters in length and 5 millimeters in width, while losing 5 millimeters in height. The net result is a sleeker profile and a more stable look.
A new front design also adds to the Rio’s confident appearance. The traditional Kia tiger-nosed grille has been thinned and widened, while bi-function projection headlights also add to the effect.
Interior Color Options on the 2017 Rio
The exterior is not the only part of the new 2017 Kia Rio to get a new look. The interior of the new Rio will be available with cloth or artificial leather upholstery, each in the buyer’s choice of grey or black. A specialty “Red Pack” is also available which offers black seats with red artificial leather trim. A high-resolution touchscreen HMI (human-machine interface) infotainment system will also work to make the interior of the new Rio even more user-friendly.
