If you are someone who likes to travel with your pooch in tow, you are no stranger to having an interior littered with pup fluff. If you want to keep your Kia’s seating looking new and not covered in dog hair, take a look at these helpful tips on how to protect your Kia’s material from pet hair and dander.
Tips for Keeping Your Kia Free from Dog Hair
- Groom Your Dog – Before Fido even steps foot in your Kia, make sure that he or she is well groomed. Thoroughly brushing your dog before every excursion can reduce the amount of loose hair that finds its way into your vehicle.
- Invest in a Car Hammock – A car hammock is a helpful tool that covers your backseat and makes a kind of “nest” for your dog. It drapes over the back seats and attaches to the front head rests, which helps to catch any fur and dander left by your pet. After the dog has exited the car, unhook the hammock and give it a good shake, and the hair should fall right out.
- Use a T-Shirt – If your dog is a nervous shedder, hair will magically float about the cabin regardless if you use a car hammock. To help prevent this, dress your dog in an old t-shirt and cinch the loose fabric with a rubber band. The t-shirt will catch some of the extra hair and your dog will look adorable!
- Use a Crate – If all else fails, confide Fido to the cargo area by using a car crate. We know it’s not the most fun solution, but it is the least messy solution and the safest one for your pup. Just don’t forget to put a blanket down under the crate to catch any hair that falls.
